Day Four - eggs!
So I must not have been thinking on this one. It was a little above my girls' skill set if you're striving for perfection, which we're not, so you'll just have to laugh along with us at the results. : )
The day before we made nests. Nests are for eggs, so today we made eggs!
They both like to use scissors, so I thought this would be relatively easy since I had drawn the shape to cut on the paper. If I had to do this all over again, I might just do play dough eggs. Nonetheless, the girls had a good time hacking away at the poor eggs and I had enough time to get dinner on the table!
They did a good job coloring. We used crayola's slick sticks to color the eggs. The color is very rich and the sticks glide easily onto the paper. The girls liked them, too!
I cut out a few for examples and did some hand over hand cutting, but they preferred cracked eggs for their nests.
Scissors and cutting challenge C and FL's motor skills in different ways. Even though the results didn't turn out as I thought they would, the girls got a chance at using and improving their skills, which is the main point of all of this!
Great job, girls!!!
ReplyDeleteThat made me giggle . . . .
