First Easter!

The day was beautiful, our Savior is risen and I had my sweet children to celebrate it with me.
Oh, they were precious!

At the last minute, I realized I had dresses for the girls, given to us by a wonderful friend!
I also got to decorate a basket for each of my daughters.  They helped to pick the ribbons.

The morning of we had breakfast together and then Sam went to feed the horses.  Two little people waited impatiently to hunt for eggs.

There is something about little children in pajamas that is sooo cute!

Once Sam was done and in the house, they took off together to look at their baskets!

Both sets of grandparents had a little something for each of them, and we bought them some of their favorite treats along with a toy, a book and a little sugar egg (I still remember getting one of those!).  For health reasons for both girls, it is very important to limit sugary sweets and chocolate, so we passed on that.  They didn't need it to have a great time!

I really wasn't sure how the egg hunt would go...

But it was like they had been practicing it for months! : )

My pictures are all blurry because they were going so fast!

Lots of laughs and smiles!

They did fantastic finiding every egg - only a little help was needed.

So fun!

They searched high and low!

Eggs, eggs everywhere!

"Come here, you pesky purple egg!"

This girl has some determination!

There's one between Rody's ears!!!

"What pink egg by a rocking chair?  I don't see a pink egg..."

"I do!"

Fun was had by all, especially me!  I wanted to do it again!

We spread out on the mat to look at everything and have a snack!

Of course, we hid and gathered up eggs outside, too!  It was such beautiful weather!

We all enjoyed being outside, enjoying God's beautiful creation.

Oh, they know how to make everything so fun!

Precious, precious, precious.

And beautiful.

Stay little for a long time, okay?

God has blessed us so with the honor of being parents to two little rays of sunshine.

I don't take it for granted, believe me.

Praise The Lord for all of the good things He has done!
Happy Easter!  He has risen!
