A Little Christmas

The Christmas tree has been up for a little over a week, with lights on and two ornaments.  In the past, I have been that person who wants the tree up Thanksgiving night - it just didn't happen this year! ; )
So tonight, we decided to try and put some ornaments on the tree with the girls.

We have no pictures of us actually putting the ornaments on.  The girls were so eager and enjoying it so much that it required our full attention!

We did get a few pictures at the very end.  There was a very special ornament that I made two years ago to put on the tree.  I felt at that time God was calling us to adopt two children, but we hadn't told many people.  We made it public at that time even though we we unsure if we would have a second child.  I felt so much relief and happiness!  I even bought our daughters a few presents, wrapped them and put them under the tree thinking they would surely open them the next year.

A year passed and I still didn't know the people that the ornament symbolized and the wrapped presents stayed wrapped that Christmas and were put back on a shelf in the closet.  You can imagine my feelings.

This year, things are different!  No time for much of anything except enjoying the precious gifts that God has allowed me to parent!

Here's the ornament and the precious two people that it represents:

Wishing you the gifts this season of all of the things that really matter! : )
Merry Christmas!
